1. To Install GoToMyPC
An account can be created anywhere, but for GoToMyPC Personal or Pro, it must be set up physically present at the Mac or PC to access remotely. For GoToMyPC Corporate, the user can set up an account from anywhere without needing to be physically present at the PC to access remotely.
2. Connect From Another Device
On the other computer, log in at www.gotomypc.com. Press Connect and the desktop will appear.
3. Work Like Normal
Users can now access files, applications and a network as they were sitting right in front of a computer.

I use GoToMyPC to access my work desktop from home. It saves me from having to go into the office every day and eliminates the potential for a lot of interruptions while trying to complete sensitive tasks. GoToMyPC also allows me to login remotely and look up information on demand to give answers to questions real-time. It's nice to be able to provide answers instead of the "I'll look it up next time I'm at the office" answer.
- Feel Confident of the security level to protect the data
- Allows complete access to my desktop applications and printing capability
- Help section has a lot of answers!
- Still trying to figure out the resolution - the app screens are magnified sometimes so it's difficult to see some of the options.
- I'm new to GoToMyPC so I'm sure a lot of my issues are lack of knowledge

Retail Store Remote Access from Remote Office
We use GoToMyPC to login remotely from the office to the store location. We use it to update inventory, troubleshoot problems that the on- site staff is having, and manage software updates remotely.

A lifesaver for helping technically challenged remote workers, and accessing office from home.
GoToMyPC has been an easy solution for two very important tasks in my business:
- Helping remote workers who are technically challenged, in particularly senior employees who have incredible knowledge and skills, but technically challenged on basic computer issues.
- Remote log-in from my home office on rural internet to my office location on fiber. I regularly log in for retrieval of digital assets, or uploading very large files that would take days on my home rural internet.
I have used it across town during blizzards, and from my home in the US to workers in France. I highly recommend GoToMyPC if you need to more than a mere data access, but need to virtually be sitting in front of a remote computer. The ability for the user on the other end to watch your actions is also very helpful.

Twenty Years and Counting
I need to be able to reach my desktop when I'm not in the office. It allows me to work from anywhere - which I do. Being able to pull files from our office computers and distribute them as necessary to our estimator wherever he is at the moment is important when all our work is done off the premises. We are too small to need a server or any pricey software/hardware solutions when a simple solution like GoToMyPC lets us access the files, including construction drawings, at any time. A cloud based solution is not as fast as using my office desktop even though we back up to Office 365. I keep the files we are currently using in a folders on my desktop and they are easy to find.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been able to work at home and stay safe. But I am also able to access our estimator's computer directly to download plans and leave note directly on his desktop because his computers at his homes are also running GoToMyPC.
I've been using GoToMyPC since I first discovered it over 20 years ago when we were still using dial up & before 'drag & drop" was available - it worked well then, and it's gotten better all the time.

On Vacation But Still Able to Get It Done!!!
When I need to travel away from my office to another location, I still need to be able to process the difficult payroll clients. GoToMyPC allows me to fulfill my job easily. I need the capability of using this software. I have tried others but this is the best!!!

- I can print to my office computer or another printer.
- I would appreciate it if the price were lower.

Safe and secure while I travel
I use GoToMyPC to remotely access my desktop at the office when I travel. This keeps documents and records secure since they never actually leave the protected environment of the office. It is quick, easy to use, and is an intuitive learning curve.
- Easy to learn how to use.
- Simple billing plan.
- Flexible when I need them to be.
- Re-establishing connection when on a weak wi-fi (hotel?) is troublesome.
- Sharing account access is odd.
- Is there an Orientation video for users new to GoToMyPC? There was not one when I signed up.

I Have Used GoToMyPC for Over 20 Years and Love It!
We are a small organization and without GoToMyPC none of us would be able to go on vacation or take days off.

When I Go To My PC I....
I am able to access important workstations by using GoToMyPC. When trouble-shooting problems it is invaluable that I can literally see the issue my staff experiences. By both being able to see the desktops/applications we cut through to dealing with the issue at hand. It saves me time, money, and the HASSLE of "envisioning" what we are discussing or meeting about. GoToMyPC creates an immediate common reality with my staff.
- Speed between computers is fast.
- Allowing login information to be saved saves me time and hassle (I'm all about that).
- I wish the PC I'm viewing's screen was larger. My laptop is 17" but using GoToMyPC cuts a narrow around the computer screen I'm viewing, and I'm constantly moving multiple windows to work and see them all.
- It's pretty spendy. Remote workers are ever more the norm, but at nearly $1000 a year per user, I don't think we can justify the time savings - particularly when Google Meeting or Zoom or Facebook meeting are available.

I use GoToMyPC to connect to my office from home or on the road. Yes, there are other programs that allow you to connect remotely, but none are as full-featured GoToMyPC. I particularly appreciate the custom scaling you can make to screen size and the ability to remotely print to an actual printer. The program is robust and I have never had a problem with it, although it took them forever to remove the popup for Bitdefender antivirus. I could not make it go away no matter what I did. But on a functionality scale, it is nearly perfect.

GoToMyPC lets me go to work!
I use GoToMyPC when I am working from my home office and need to access programs or files that are kept on my client's computer. This allows me to work on projects in an efficient time frame that allows me to work during the pandemic and stay healthy.

- Transfer or copy files from the computer drive (c drive) to your active desktop file folders.
- The ability to set your own "Time Out" too often I have to log back in if switching between computer screens.
- Easier way to print documents to printers not connected to the computer being accessed.

Connects well and is pretty stable
GoToMyPC works consistently well and is my favorite remoting software. Until they mess it up somehow I'll be using it for accessing work computers from home. The cost keeps me from adding more than 2 computers at the moment. It's especially useful for doing maintenance on work computers or printing orders from home.

You can hang your hat on GoToMyPC
Some of our employees work completely remotely accessing the company server through GoToMyPC. Some of us use it to check-in after hours. The reliability and speed of the connection have always been exceptional. Couldn't complain at all.

GoToMyPC is used by me to access my law practice PC when I am away from my office.
It is invaluable to me as it enables me to access all of my files, client information and folders that otherwise not be available to me while out of the office.
It is a business expense that I don't mind paying; it is very valuable to my practice.

We use GoToMyPC in two ways. First, when we are out of the store and an employee has a question, we are quickly able to go login to help with any issue. Second, because we are not open every day because of COVID, we are able to access our databases remotely and answer customer questions as quickly as if we were open.

Good Remote Access
I login to remote computers to review accounting and other reporting needs, help solve problems, and stay in contact.
I am very pleased with the speed of connection and the ease of logging in offered by GoToMyPC. This service is a great tool for remote computer connecting. I would recommend it. Glad I have this software.

Connect anywhere with GoToMyPC and become proactive
GoToMyPC is a useful software that had helped us work in the organization remotely. It is mainly used when there is a business trip. The person who is on the trip logs in their computer wherever they are and automatically connects without the need to be experienced in networks or coding. Another example of how this software is used, is for connecting to its peer computer, maybe to fix a problem or just help with a report.
- Provides a great security while connected. GotoMyPc validates and verifies files and data that goes through your account
- You can perform your workflow and labor task with flexibility
- Very cheap monthly fee, for a great service and software.
- Sometimes the consistency in the connection might lag and create some errors.
- Some issues might be beyond our knowledge, therefore a technician or expert might be needed (rare case)
- If connecting from home, it will take a lot of your data and might slow other devices connections

GoToMyPC review
I manage a team of conservation technologists and planners - a mix of staff and consultants - and we work on "land for people" projects nationwide. Because of the distributed nature of our national organization and of our team, GoToMyPC has been critical in helping us access desktops as needed as we travel around the country. GoToMyPC is very stable and has gotten us out of trouble in live presentations on the road when we didn't have the right information on our laptops. We could easily connect to our desktop using the app and get the information we need. GoToMyPC also works very well to sync data from mobile devices or laptops to desktops. We use it to sync data often.

The number 1 remote support tool!!!
GoToMyPc is being used by the IT department for remote troubleshooting of issues within the company. The developers are also using GoToMyPc to assist the sales department with application specific troubles.
- I use this on my work laptop, this enables me to never take my laptop home with me. I can connect to my work laptop from home, and work as if I am sitting at my desk by accessing network file shares and even print to the office printer.
- I have used other products for remote access, but GoToMyPc is by far the best for performance and ease of use. You notice virtually no machine performance when connecting remotely, unlike other products that at time can cause your machine to feel some performance lag.
- File Transfers are as easy as a few clicks. It's quick and simple, very user friendly.

GoToMyPC, best remote tech support and training alternative
GoToMyPC is used to support users of a student records management database; for people involved in the registration and PEIMS reporting process, across all charter school districts under the Student Alternatives Program Inc., umbrella. It basically gives me the power to manage the database on each of the 8 campuses located as far as Lubbock, El Paso, McAllen and Laredo. It helps with eliminating frequent traveling and allowing me to remotely program training sessions too.
- Works seamlessly in different networks regardless of the network security and normal protection software used in the education field, as content filters and Firewalls.
- The ability of transferring files between computer and having full control of the resources at the host receiving side is a great plus.
- The ease of installation and activation is one of the more appreciated features, mainly because does not require a high level of expertise, pretty straightforward.
- The platform is really secure and connection problems or slow connections are non-existent.
- Running some applications using mobile devices is a challenge, not really a software problem, but being able to preprogram some commonly used functions or other command that require long entries would be very useful.
- A more clean un-installation would help too, some times when remotely accessed computers change very often, it is easy to do a new install but the old installation keeps popping up requesting to finish installation, is not a common problem but there are computers in labs that are rotated frequently and the application is used sporadically and frequently targets different users, mostly for training purposes.
- Ability to set up access to more than one user in a remote location on same computer.

GoToMyPC review
We currently use GoToMyPC for supervisors and assigned admin staff to have access to their work computer remotely from home. This affords them the opportunity to work remotely as if they were in the office.
- GoToMyPC allows users to access work computer remotely and securely.
- GoToMyPC allows a user to see if another user is logged into a session.
- GoToMyPC provided great options with adjusting settings to fit the user's needs.
- The ability to make a full screen on the remote computer. If this feature is enabled I think it will be a great asset.
